Jane Forsythe
Jane attended her first yoga class in 2006 and was captivated by the profound physical benefit (and pain relief) received … it was no long before she was even more captivated by the sense of serenity and mindfulness that the practice provided. In her desire to know more about the art and discipline of yoga and to be able to support others in their practice she studied at the Yoga School of Therapeutics in Overland Park, Kansas for three years. At the studio, she was instructed in Hatha, Purna and Vinyasa styles of yoga practice. Her training concentrated on methods for individualizing and adapting yoga practices for maximum therapeutic advantage. She completed her 200-hour teacher training in 2015 and continues her studies at every opportunity.
She is keen to help others to enjoy the harmony that comes from integrating our breath, our attention and our alignment in the yoga practice. It is her goal to inform and encourage us all to become self-aware; to be our own best guide in our yogic life. Adapting and integrating the various forms of yoga practice to be of emotional, mental, physical, and therapeutic benefit is her overarching goal.
After spending her childhood and her adulthood traveling the globe as an Army family member she is happily (and permanently!) settled, with her husband Barney, in their home on Lady’s Island. And, she is equally happy to be settled at One Yoga Sanctuary.
