Before finding yoga, Stephanie trained and showed horses, then was a veterinary technician and a group fitness instructor. Stephanie' love for the outdoors, exercise, and animals was where she found her peace and solitude.
She came to yoga to help heal injuries, become more flexible, and to help relieve chronic pain. And what she got was so much more. She learned that the serenity she found with animals could also be found on her mat. And that yoga was so much more then exercising. It was a way to connect with her body, breath, and thoughts, as well as making a connection with other people.
Stephanie's focus is on restorative and gentle yoga. She enjoys learning and teaching ways to make yoga accessible to every body, no matter the shape, age, or flexibility.
Stephanie has had 200 hours of Teacher Training from Asheville Yoga Center, and has also had Restorative Teacher Training at Holy Cow Yoga in Charleston
