This is alignment based class open to experienced beginners and Level 1,2 practitioners.
Foundations practice focuses on 3 main principles:
~ Creating space, length and openness in the joints with safety and specific alignment instruction
~Aligning the Joints in the body starting from the base~ depending on posture, our base changes, we learn to create stability from the base up. To start we explore main standing, seated, twisting and inverted poses. Foundational poses build strength and greater awareness and prepare us for inversions. We use props and adjust poses depending on the needs of practitioners.
~ Toning and dynamism ~ Yoga in Action, as we create stability and familiarize our body with standing poses, we can stay and hold with natural breathing patterns and move into meditative quality of the practice and more demanding and challenging postures.
Class ends with restorative asana and deep relaxation.
