Backbends are one of yoga’s most expansive and energetic categories of poses. They are a natural antidote to the forward postures that many of us find ourselves in for much of the day. Unfortunately we rarely have time in classes to cultivate a deep understanding of the intelligent actions necessary to create deep, full, and expansive bends.
In this workshop we will be exploring the terrain of backbends-basic to more advanced- in a safe, sequenced manner, working to develop the skill sets that get us moving the backbends into the spine evenly - creating lift, length and expansion. You will leave with a greater understanding of the actions YOU need to create safe, satisfying backbends.
Carol and Stacy will be limiting the size of this workshop to allow for individual attention. Fee for workshop is $25.
